Board of Directors

David Kendziorski (Incumbent):

Dave grew up in Bay City, MI graduating from All Saints Central High School in 1990.  He obtained his Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Delta College (1992), Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University (1994) and Master of Arts, Public Administration from Saginaw Valley State University (2012).

Dave was hired by the Saginaw County Sheriff Department in 1994 where he worked as a deputy in the jail and the uniformed division.  In 1996, he joined the Saginaw Police Department (SPD) as a patrol officer.  He was promoted to sergeant in 2002 and lieutenant in 2008.  Dave has experience overseeing the Patrol, Investigations, Support Services Bureau, and the Victim Services Unit (VSU).   He currently serves as the Administrative Services lieutenant responsible for maintaining accreditation, training, internal investigations, grant writing, and community relations and the Victim Services Unit (VSU).  Dave was responsible for establishing the SPD VSU, obtaining millions of dollars in grant funding and leading the SPD’s efforts to become an accredited agency.  He is the recipient of multiple commendations, decorations, citations and awards. 

Dave graduated from Central Michigan University’s Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Institute (2010),  Fire Fighter Training Academy (2012) and the F.B.I. National Academy, Session #260 (2015).

Dave serves on several committees and boards including the Great Lakes Bay Region Families Against Narcotics Chapter, Saginaw County Prevention Council, Saginaw County Sobriety Court, National Association of Chiefs of Police Victim Services Committee, Beaver Township Zoning Board of Appeals, and United Way of Saginaw County.  Dave is also a volunteer for the Beaver Township Fire Department.

He enjoys running (when he can) and driving collectible cars.

Rayunza Chism-Hood (Incumbent):

Rayunza is an experienced and seasoned Family First Credit Union board member since 2016 and has been a dedicated credit union member for more than 30 years. Rayunza served on the Credit Committee for three years before being appointed to the Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Business Loan Committee. She loves the institution and is committed to continuing to help the credit union grow and excel.

Rayunza Chism-Hood is a graduate of Central Michigan University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She previously attended Lansing Community college, earning Certification as a Paralegal.

Rayunza worked for the State of Michigan for more than 14 years as a Departmental Analyst, Children’s Protective Service Worker and a Case worker for the Department of Human Services. She also previously worked for the City of Saginaw as a Housing Inspector. Rayunza has extensive real estate management experience in the areas of evaluation, negotiation, property acquisition, and management.

Rayunza is a member of Triumph Church where she serves on the Financial Empowerment Committee, and as a Nurse for various church services such as funerals and memorials. Rayunza is community minded, having served for more than 20 years as a volunteer with the Detroit Urban League’s College Club, helping to prepare children to attend college and career preparation. She has traveled with the Detroit Urban League for workshops and conventions. Rayunza is a member of the Alpha Kappa Sorority. 

Rayunza is the proud parent of an adult daughter and son who are both married. She also has three adult grandchildern who are now successfully making their way in society.
