Federal Regulation D Guidelines
Regulation D limits the number of transfer withdrawals, that can be made from a non transaction account (savings account) during any one calendar month, to six (6). A Regulation D transaction is any transaction that is performed without the member's signature. The following types of transfers are subject to Regulation D:
- Phone transfers/withdrawals from savings to another account by check, withdrawal or transfers to another account.
- Transfers made from your savings to cover an overdraft. This includes transferring money to cover checks, ACH (electronic) transactions, ATM transactions, and Bill Payments.
EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2006, any electronic items that are received each month after you have exceeded your six (6) transfer withdrawals will be subjected to one of the following: returned for insufficient funds and be charged an NSF fee of $35 or it will be paid, but your account will be charged a $25.00 excess transfer fee.
