Share Accounts (Savings)
A share account is the most basic of all Credit Union accounts and it is a required account for all members. When you join the Credit Union, you become an owner based upon your Credit Union share. This is why your savings account at a CU is called a Share account.
See our current Share rates.
Share-Draft Accounts (Checking)
A share-draft account is a Credit Union name for your checking account. This is an account which allows you to write drafts to
others. These drafts (Checks) allow merchants or others to redeem your payment without your having to carry cash.
An additional benefit of your share-draft account is the ability to stop drafts when needed.
Since Share drafts largely include only transient amounts, there is no dividend earned on share-draft balances.
Christmas Club Accounts
An FFCU Christmas Club account allows you to specify a certain amount of money to be placed into a separate account for use at
Christmas. It is especially useful when paired with direct deposit to place a set amount from each paycheck for use next Christmas.

ATM / Debit Cards
Debit
An FFCU Debit card is truly the next generation of ATM card. The primary difference from the traditional card is the added
functionality. A Debit card works just like your trusty ATM card with respect to Withdrawals of money at ATM locations worldwide,
but a Debit card also allows you to write a check anywhere that accepts a credit card . . . Without actually having to carry a
checkbook or write a check. By running your card through the scanner, MasterCard agrees to pay the bill and deduct the money from
your account. If there is a problem, MasterCard loses out, not you, the cardholder.
Debit cards provide extra security beyond that of a check, federal law prohibits losses greater than $50 for instances of fraud or theft
when reported promptly after discovery of the fraudulent transaction.
